Synthetic isoprene IR

Butadiene-styrene SBR Good mechanical properties like grindability, increased cracks resistance, resistant to the majority of chemical compounds, resistant to acids, alcohol, ketones, aldehydes. Vulnerable to ozone, strong acids, fats, oils, greases, most hydrocarbons. Tires, technical articles (seals, shock absorbers, rubber-metal, rubber hoses) without coming into contact with oil.
Butadiene BR Very good grindability, low temperatures resistance, high flexibility, resistant to acids, alcohol, ketones, aldehydes. Vulnerable to ozone, strong acids, fats, oils, greases, most hydrocarbons. Tires, treads, cable insulation, frost articles, articles resistant to acids and alkalis.
Nitrile NBR

High oil resistance, good mechanical properties.

Vulnerable to ozone, ketones, esters, aldehydes, chlorinated hydrocarbons and nitrated.

Oil-resistant products (gaskets, shock absorbers), printing rollers, hoses.

Ethylene-propylene

EPDM

Very good resistance to weather conditions (ozone, animal & plant grease, high temperature, heat ageing).

Petroleum hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons.

Medium-voltage insulation, sealing windows and doors, the car industry.

Chloroprene

CR

Very good mechanical properties,  very good resistance to weather conditions, resistant to acids, slow-burning.

Vulnerable to strong oxidizing acids, esters, ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons, aromatic and nitrated.

Products not readily flammable, corrosion linings, insulation lining.

Butyl

IIR

Good physical properties including dielectric properties, low gas permeability, constant work in high temperatures, resistant to ozone, animal and plant oils, oxidizing chemicals, high dulling properties.

Not resistant aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons.

Membranes, tubes, hoses for water vapor, ram.

Fluoric

FPM

Very high chemical resistance to: acids, hydroxides, very good temperature resistance, low gas permeability, good mechanical properties.

Little flexibility, a large permanent deformation.

Gaskets, washers, rings operating in difficult environments (aviation, automotive, chemical industry).
